about
Reaching Upward, Reaching Outward
FBC is defined by “Reaching Upward, Reaching Outward.” We desire to see people drawn close to God in order that they might draw others close to God. We share the message of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. Every person is a sinner and separated by God. We cannot clean up or fix ourselves, but instead we commit ourselves to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord (Romans 10:9-10).

What does First Baptist Believe?
There’s a lot we could say here, but let’s address a few quick things:
  • We believe the Bible is the God-authored, inerrant, standard for life                               (2 Timothy 3:16).
  • We believe that Jesus Christ died for all people of the world, in order that we can         be saved from our sins, restored to God, and given eternal life (John 3:16).
  • We believe our role as a church is to make disciples, by introducing the lost to             Jesus, and growing believers in the faith (Matthew 28:18-20).

FBC is part of the Southern Baptist Convention. You can read more about our beliefs by clicking on the Baptist Faith and Message graphic.
